When a new RCT is proposed it is assigned its own Discussion page. This page provides features designed to facilitate discussion amongst interested clinicians during the collaborative process modifying and improving a RCT proposal. Typically one researcher initiates the process by uploading a new proposal for an RCT. This initial proposal will then act as the first of many iterative steps in a collaborative research process. At each step collaborators will have the opportunity to discuss, modify and improve the research design, the statistical model and the working documents. Ultimately this collaborative process will produce two important RCT documents: The Research Protocol and The Informed Consent. These two documents will then be submitted to an IRB for formal approval. (Find an IRB) For each proposed RCT you are welcome to subscribe to an RSS feed for that proposal so that you will be notified as soon as discussions occur and new revisions of the proposal are uploaded. At the present time, only a Principal Investigator (PI), or a few collaborators designated by the PI, are empowered to modify the working document. After each modification to the written documents, the new versions will be uploaded and be available for further discussion and improvements. Each proposed RCT will be automatically assigned an iiResearch identification number (iiR-ID) to facilitate easy access of the specific RCT. |
